MARSON FOODS ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH FEEDING AMERICA®, THE LARGEST HUNGER RELIEF ORGANIZATION IN THE U.S.

Committed to Serving and Nourishing Communities, Company Will Donate 10 Million Meals* Over the Next Three Years

CARSON CITY, NV (APRIL 19, 2021)Marson Foods, a Carson City, Nevada-based manufacturer of delicious quality waffle products, announces today the establishment of their Fight Hunger Initiative in partnership with Feeding America®, the largest hunger relief organization in the United States. Feeding America projects that 42 million people (1 in 8), including 13 million children (1 in 6), may experience food insecurity in 2021. Over the next three years, as part of the company’s 2021 pledge to serve and nourish communities, Marson Foods is committed to creating awareness around the issues of food insecurity and hunger in the United States and will be donating 10 million meals* through Feeding America’s network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs. Marson Foods donates its Wow Wow Classic Waffles product, which are individually packaged and nutritious snacks baked with a unique dough-based recipe, through the Feeding America network.

The Marson Foods Fight Hunger Initiative officially kicked off with the donation of a truckload of Wow Wow Waffles to Three Square Food Bank in Las Vegas, which is Southern Nevada’s only food bank and largest hunger relief organization. The recent delivery of Wow Wow Classic Waffles will go directly to children and families who are experiencing food insecurity in the region. According to a new brief from the Urban Institute released in March 2021, nearly 1 in 5 adults (19.7 percent) reported using charitable food in the past year as of December 2020, which is an increase of almost 50 percent from the same time period in 2019.
